Margo McGeehan
Autistic/ADHD Self-Advocate/Professional Advocate

In the nearly three decades since my diagnosis, I have spent endless hours recapping my story through academic papers and scholarship submissions, searching for the right platform to make sense of my particular experience growing up on the spectrum – the isolation felt both as a quote unquote high-functioning person perceived as normal (whatever that means), and as a young woman in an era when both autism research and representation is still heavily male dominated. I’ve been fortunate that both aspects have come so far in my lifetime, but there is still a very long way to go – especially in resources for people in my generation and younger on the spectrum who are attempting to make that transition into adult life. My aim here at Neurodiverse Collaborative is to utilize my lived experience to help build a personal connection with clients through empathy and understanding as well as provide cultural analysis and critique through regularly generated media content.
