Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy explains what information Neurodiverse Collaborative Network (“ND Collab,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website (neurodiversecollab.net), the ND Collab app (app.neurodiversecollab.net and the iOS and Android apps), and our emails.

Questions or requests: support@neurodiversecollab.net.

Who we are

Neurodiverse Collaborative Network is a community and coaching platform for neurodivergent people and the families and professionals who support them. Coaches on our platform are independent professionals, not our employees.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account: your name, email address, and password. If you join through a membership plan, the plan you chose and its status.

Profile information you add. Anything you choose to put on your profile, such as a photo, bio, pronouns, interests, and accessibility or communication preferences. Adding a zip code to find nearby events and coaches is optional, and we don’t collect your device’s location.

What you do in the community. Posts, comments, likes, groups you join, event RSVPs, course progress, and messages you send to coaches or our team.

Coaching and practice. Sessions you book, practice items and task lists, focus session check-ins, and anything you share with a coach.

Care Team. If you set up or join a Care Team, the practice items, completions, observations, notes, and files shared within that team, along with who added or marked each one. Care Teams are coordination tools. They are not medical records, and we don’t ask for health information.

Google Tasks. If you connect your Google Tasks to a Care Team, see the “Google Tasks connection” section below.

Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe (on the website) or by Apple and Google (in-app purchases). They send us confirmation of what you bought; we never see or store your card number.

Technical information. Your IP address, device and browser type, and basic logs of how the app is used, which help us keep it running and fix problems. If you turn on notifications, a device token so we can deliver them.

How we use it

  • To run your account, membership, and the features you use.
  • To connect you with coaches, groups, events, and other members according to the visibility you choose.
  • To send notifications and emails you’ve signed up for. You can turn off notifications in the app and unsubscribe from emails with the link in any message.
  • To improve the platform and keep it safe, including moderation.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t show third-party ads.

AI features

Some features use AI to draft text for you: the assignment coach, task breakdown, the IEP assistant, the brain dump tool, and community prompts. When you use one, the text you enter is sent to Anthropic, the company that provides the AI model, to generate a response. Anthropic processes it under their commercial terms and does not use it to train their models. Coaches and members are told when they’re interacting with an AI feature, and every AI-drafted response is marked as such.

Google Tasks connection

Some members choose to connect their Google Tasks to their Care Team in the ND Collab app.

What we access. With your permission, the app reads your Google Tasks: your task lists, task titles, notes, due dates, and whether each task is completed. It can also add tasks to your list and mark tasks completed when you or your team do so in the app. We do not access your Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, contacts, or anything else in your Google account.

Why. So the people on your Care Team, the coaches, professionals, and family members you have approved, can see your task list and progress in one place without asking you for updates. You keep using Google Tasks as you always have.

Who sees it. Only the approved members of your Care Team. Your tasks are never public, never shared with other members, and never shared with anyone outside your team.

How we protect it. Your Google connection keys are stored encrypted on our servers. Your task data is stored only as needed to show it to your team, and is deleted when you disconnect or delete your account.

What we don’t do. We do not sell your Google data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers who host our servers, who are bound by confidentiality obligations. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Turning it off. You can disconnect at any time from your Care Team page in the app, or from your Google Account under Security → Third-party apps & services. Disconnecting removes our access immediately.

Who can see what

Other members see your profile, your public posts, and what you share in groups you both belong to. Coaching messages, practice lists, and Care Team content are private to the people involved.

Coaches see what you share with them: your messages, bookings, and any practice lists or Care Teams you’ve included them in. Coaches are independent professionals who agree to keep client information confidential.

Care Team members see what the client (or their legal guardian) has consented to share, and only after that consent is given. The client can withdraw consent at any time.

Service providers who help us run the platform, and who may process your information on our behalf:

  • Hosting and infrastructure for the website and app
  • Stripe, Apple, and Google for payments
  • Mailchimp for email
  • Firebase for push notifications
  • Anthropic for AI features
  • Zoom for online sessions and events
  • Google for the optional Google Tasks connection

Each is bound by its own privacy terms and can use your information only to provide its service to us.

Legal. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of members or the public.

Health and safety

ND Collab is not a healthcare provider, and coaching is not therapy or medical care. Please don’t share medical records or other protected health information through the platform. If a coach needs information like that, it belongs in their own secure records, outside ND Collab.

Children and teens

Accounts are for people 13 and older. When someone creates an account we ask for a date of birth to check their age. We keep it on your account, and use it to check your age and to send you a birthday message.

Ages 13 to 17. A teen account can only be created by a parent or legal guardian, from the parent or guardian’s own account. For a teen account we keep the name, sign-in email and date of birth the parent or guardian enters, and what the teen adds while using their own tools. We keep the date of birth so the account stays a teen account. Teen accounts are not shown in the member directory or in search, cannot post in community groups or forums, and are not added to our mailing lists. A teen can exchange messages with the members of their own family account, and with a person the parent or guardian has approved only in a conversation that includes the parent or guardian. A parent or guardian can remove a teen account from their own account, and can ask us to delete a teen’s information at any time by writing to support@neurodiversecollab.net.

Under 13. Children under 13 may not have an account. Parents and guardians may use their own account on behalf of a child, including managing a child’s Care Team. We don’t knowingly collect information directly from children under 13; if you believe we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices and rights

  • See and update your information from your profile and settings.
  • Download a copy of your information by emailing us.
  • Delete your account from the app’s settings. This removes your profile, posts, and coaching data. We keep payment records and anything we’re legally required to retain.
  • Disconnect Google Tasks from your Care Team page or your Google Account.
  • Turn off notifications in the app; unsubscribe from emails with the link in any message.

If you live somewhere with specific privacy rights (for example, California or the European Union), you can exercise them by emailing us. We won’t treat you differently for doing so.

How long we keep it

As long as your account is active. Delete your account and we remove your information, except for payment records and what the law requires us to keep. Data shared with a coach or Care Team may remain in their view as part of their own records; removing yourself from a team stops any further sharing.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Connections to the app are encrypted. Google connection keys are stored encrypted. Care Team files are stored privately and served only through the team’s own access check. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think your account has been compromised, email us right away.

Cookies

The website and app use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. We don’t use advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll post the new version here with a new date and let members know in the app.
