Parent Coaching: You Do Not Have to Figure This Out Alone
What is parent coaching?
Parent coaching is support designed specifically for parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children. A parent coach helps you understand your child’s neurology, develop strategies that work for your family, navigate challenging situations, and build confidence in your role. It is a personalized process — not a list of tips, not therapy.
How it is different from therapy
Therapy focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Parent coaching focuses on building skills, knowledge, and strategies. Parent coaching is action-focused — sessions often end with specific things to try. The coach is not an authority telling you what to do. They are a thinking partner helping you figure out what works for your family.
Who can benefit
Parent coaching is for any caregiver who wants more support. You do not have to be in crisis to benefit. Whether your child was recently diagnosed or you have been in this world for years, there is almost always something a good coach can offer. Grandparents, foster parents, and other caregivers can also benefit.
